Increase Your Frustration Quotient

Do you want to know an instant
way to increase the amount of success you create and experience in
your network marketing business and in life in general? It's simple.
Just increase what I call your Frustration Quotient.
Looking back over my fifteen
plus years in the network marketing industry, I've noticed a common
denominator among the top 1% income earners. They're The Power
Players... The Multi-Million Dollar Producers... The Trend Setters...
The Record Breakers, you know, the people who are positively impacting
the most lives and are making the most money. They all (and I don't
use the word all very often) have a much
higher Frustration Quotient than the MLM Hopers, Wishers, and
Whiners, the people who hope things will work out, who wish they will
someday make it, and who whine when things aren't going their way. The
fact is that the only way things will work out for you in this
business is if you decide that they will work out, commit to having
them work out, and effectively navigate through the challenges while
you are making them work out.
Yes, it would be nice if someone just
snapped their fingers and granted you the top position in your company with a
few million dollars as pocket change to go with it. It would be nice if the
people you are explaining your products and opportunity to would simply get
started using and sharing the products along with you. It would also be nice if
all the people who get started with you never quit. It would be nice if you
didn't have to attend all of these trainings, seminars, and workshops; if you
didn't have to read all of these books; and if you didn't have to listen to all
of the tapes we suggest you listen to. However, things don't seem to ever work
out that way, do they?
In other words, while you're building your
network marketing empire, things will probably not always go the way you would
like them to go; however, you want to still be able to Go, Go, Go, even when
this is so, don't you?
The people who are able to deal with high
levels of frustration in this society tend to be the most successful and
fulfilled people in our society. Such people include Martin Luther King, Jr.,
Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Booker T. Washington, Helen Keller, John F.
Kennedy, Winston Churchill, Walt Disney, Henry Ford, Rosa Parks, Nelson Mandela,
and even Oprah Winfrey and Bill Gates. These people, and many more that I didn't
name, have (or had) a much higher Frustration Quotient than most people
in our society, which is one of the key ingredients that sets them apart from
the masses. This is why the masses often look up these people, constantly talk
about them (sometimes in a negative way), and hold them as heroes of our

People with a low Frustration
Quotient tend to fold up the tent and leave the industry as soon as someone
says "Boo." These are also the people who tend to spend their entire lives in
crisis and survival mode.
What are some of the areas that determine
your Frustration Quotient? And, how can you increase yours so you may
obtain the success you desire? Well, consider this...
Many people are not massively successful
in their network marketing business or their life for that matter because they
have a very low frustration quotient. What this ultimately means is that it
doesn't take very much to get them in a disempowered state of mind (i.e.: a
state of mind that isn't conducive to producing positive results).
By now you already know the importance of
having a state of mind that will be more favorable towards you creating the
activity necessary to produce the results you desire. You also understand that
one of the cornerstones in building a successful network marketing business is
to consistently expose your products and opportunity to others. The simple
formula goes something like this: Expose to "no" people; make no money. Expose
to "some" people; make some money. Expose to "lots" of people; make lots of
money. This is what I call Networking 101 or The Elementics of Networking. (Yes,
I just made up that word).
Over my past 17 plus years in the network
marketing industry, I've been a keen student and observer of people. I've
noticed how most people will let the smallest issues ruin their entire day,
week, month, year, and even life. Why? Because they have a low frustration
quotient. Fortunately, it is possible to increase your frustration quotient.

A mental fast consists of taking out the
negative and disempowering input in your mind and saturating your brain with
positive and empowering input instead. The primary thing is for you to structure
your mind to be more comfortable accepting empowering information instead of
disempowering information. A very

Realize that We are Story Generating
Human being naturally make up stories.
That's why we have so many novels, television programs, movies, legends, myths,
etc. Unfortunately, most of the stories we make up are disempowering because
that's how we've been programmed. This is one of the reasons why we go on the
30-Day Mental Fast in the first place.
For example, if we happen to build up
enough courage to talk to someone about our product or opportunity and the
person says, "No. I am not interested in any of that snake oil or your pyramid
thing,-- we typically run off with our tail between our legs. We then make up a
story about how people in this country are closed-minded to alternative ways of
healing themselves and generating income. Sound familiar? I hear a version of
this in just about every country I visit, and I travel quite a bit. As far away
as Sweden, Denmark, Norway, England, Australia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore,
Indonesia, Germany, Austria, New Zealand, France, Canada, and on and on people
say things like, "If only I lived in this country or that country then it would
be easier for me to prospect and build my business," or "I don't have anymore
warm market to talk to and I can't afford any leads so how I'm I suppose to
build my business?" or "My best prospect didn't join and she is really smart
because she got a degree from Harvard Business School and she really knows a
thing or two about business analysis. I guess that means something is wrong with
No, No, No. Most likely there is
absolutely nothing wrong with your opportunity; what's wrong is your frustration
quotient. It's too low. You let the little things get to you and wipe you out
because you start to put too much energy in this stuff. Now here's the catch.
Since we as a species (Homo Sapiens) are story-generating beings, why not make
up something that will be empowering instead of disempowering? For example, when
someone says he or she doesn't want any of your "snake oil or pyramid type
stuff," why don't you make the story to read that there are still a lot of
helpless souls out there who don't have a clue about how to participate
abundantly in a free enterprise system? After all, if everyone understood the
merits of network marketing and thought it was great, we wouldn't have the
opportunity that we currently have in this industry.
When you don't have the money to purchase
leads and you think you've talked to all of your warm market, why don't you make
the story describe how this scenario gives you a perfect chance to meet some
new, exciting, motivated people who are just waiting to hear from you? When the
smartest person on the planet says "no" why don't you make that story explain
that you don't have to worry about the government or large corporations finding
smart people to work for them. After all, our economic system can only sustain
itself if a great number of people choose to be broke all of their lives.
Volunteering to work for a living instead of designing a life is necessary for
our country to operate. Unfortunately, this is the destiny of the masses.
Make up stories of empowerment and watch what happens.
Stop Being a Reactive Active
Most people get frustrated easily because
they simply react to whatever stimulus is put before them. They don't take the
time to examine their feelings and the reasons for them. Before getting
frustrated, disappointed, depressed, or sad about your next perceived negative
experience, stop and examine it. Discover what you can learn from it and figure
out how you can actually gain from the situation. I've noticed that the most
successful people on the planet do this. They are able to turn agony into
defeat, stumbling blocks into super success, and fear into faith. They are able
to transform a victim mentality into a victory mentality. In short, they are
able to turn frustration into fascination. So the next time you find yourself in
a disempowered state of mind, stop, take a few deep breaths, and start looking
for the magnificent fascination that's in your momentary frustration.
Stop majoring in
the minors and stop letting the petty stuff turn you into a pathetic soul. Use
the power that you were born with to rise above the masses and create the life
you desire and deserve. It's available for you now. Every day in every way work
on increasing your frustration quotient and you may be surprised when you find
yourself living in the Land of Paradise.
